About the Liebster
The Liebster is awarded to spotlight up and coming bloggers who currently have less than 200 followers. 'Liebster' is a German word meaning dear, sweet, kind, nice, good, beloved, lovely, kindly, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. Now for the rules:
1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers.5. And most of all - have fun!
I'd like to thank Liz for nominating me. I've already told you about Eight Acres. I absolutely love what Liz and her husband are doing on their 8 acres of Australian soil. Liz's blog is an awesome resource for homesteaders and people wanting to produce most of their own food.
Gaah. I keep wanting to nominate Liz from Eight Acres again, but that's not how the Liebster works. Instead, here are some other lovely blogs I recommend.
1. Easy Natural Food. Debbie blogs about her favourite real food recipes and has inspired me to eat liver. She also hosts a Sunday Night Soup Night carnival, which is lots of fun and a great place to get soup and stock inspiration.
2. Riddle Love. This is a blog by Katie Riddle, which I just discovered but already love. The Riddle family spent nine months living in a trailer so they could eliminate debt. Now they are living on their own family farm, where Katie blogs about home life and eating a nourishing diet.
3. Simply Natural Health. Kim has spent the last 12 years developing recipes that are based on natural, whole foods and deal with specific allergies. She and her family eat a gluten-free, vegan diet, and are thriving on it. Kim recently guest posted on Craving Fresh with her tips for going gluten-free.
4. Now and Gwen. Gwen's blog about gardening, plant-knappers and cats has me giggling. Gwen works with my husband at Minimonos, which is how I first found out about her blog. Now I follow her antics for myself, because her blog is thoughtful, humorous and deals with one of my favourite topics - gardening.
5. NZ Ecochick. Madeleine is a fellow Wellingtonian who blogs about gardening, motherhood and doing life the eco-friendly way. There's lots of inspiration to be found at Madeleine's blog. I've even made a guest appearance over there myself, sharing my super handy companion planting guide - check it out if you haven't already.
So there you have it - five of the blogs I love to follow. I hope you get a chance to visit them all. Tell them Emma sent you and she says, "Hi."
Thanks for the kind words Emma, still loving your blog! I was starting to think you didn't notice the award (or you were too cool to accept it, some people are funny about awards, but I liked the opportunity to recommend a few blogs that I love, although it was so hard to pick only 5!). Now I'm going to check out the ones you picked......
ReplyDeleteAww thanks so much that's so sweet. Will be passing on the love. Was really nice to see your email saying you had nominated me. Thanks xx
